Nichole is a 24-year old young woman from El Mirage who is presently working as an Enterprise Rental Car agent. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma when she was 15 years old. Nicole received chemotherapy treatments and doctors also replaced her knee and femur with metal rods.
Five years after finishing her initial cancer treatment, while working on her Master’s degree at ASU, Nichole developed a tumor in her lung. It was removed and she has been cancer free since. Nicole says that she has a bright outlook on life and while she’d love to tell us that she rock climbs, surfs, writes novels, or something wildly exciting, at the end of a day nothing makes her happier than coming home and reading a good book. She has been an active volunteer for Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
Nicole plan’s to attend ASU’s downtown campus to pursue her PhD in Community Resources and Development and would like to ultimately teach as a University Professor.
