Margaret is an 18-year old young woman from Mesa who finished her first year at Mesa Community College in May. Margaret was diagnosed with Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma on her upper thigh when she was 10. She was treated with radiation and chemotherapy before experiencing a recurrence of the cancer when she was 13.

Margaret loves animals, drawing and making crafts. She says that her experience with cancer was difficult as she became somewhat withdrawn but the experience also allowed her to grow up and become a smarter person.

Margaret is seeking a degree in Animal Sciences and would like some day to participate in a Veterinary program.
