Kelsey is an 18-year old young woman from Scottsdale who graduated from Horizon High School in May. She was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma when she was 8 and treated with radiation and chemotherapy. While Kelsey describes cancer as a nightmare, she says that it taught her to believe in herself and to reach for her goals.
Kelsey is a dancer and she loves to twirl the baton – in fact she will be the featured twirler at Azusa Pacific University, her chosen college in the fall. She has volunteered at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and been and active fundraiser and leader for ACS’s “Relay For Life”.
Kelsey plans to pursue a degree in Biology at Azusa Pacific University in CA. Her ultimate goal is to become a Pediatric Oncologist.
