Children's Cancer Network Board Member, Pat Shannon was announced as a 2009 "Nurses of the Year" Awards finalist for Academic Education in June. Nurses were selected from over 200 nominations in 13 categories submitted by patients, peers and administrators in communities across Arizona. The prestigious "Nurses of the Year" Awards Gala recognized the finalists on August 29, 2009 at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Scottsdale. The elegant evening affair was a special opportunity to recognize outstanding individuals who champion the profession of nursing.
