Children’s Cancer Network’s Annual Fashion Show

Did you know that Children’s Cancer Network’s annual fashion show, luncheon and auction is not just another fundraising event?

This event fulfills an important part of our mission. Spotlighting children who are cancer survivors and their siblings in a fun and positive way boosts self esteem and family morale during a time when it is most needed. The event also empowers our families so they can contribute to the fight against cancer. Beginning in 2004, the event has grown in popularity and provides an afternoon of warmth and inspiration to all who attend.

Traditionally held each February, it is an event you will not want to miss!

Bi-Annual Childhood Cancer Survivorship Conference

Children’s Cancer Network sponsors and coordinates a bi-annual conference for childhood cancer survivors, their families and health care providers. September 8, 2007 marked the date of Children’s Cancer Network’s second survivorship conference, “Childhood Cancer Survivorship: Keys to Empowerment”, located at the Black Canyon Conference Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Featuring nationally recognized speakers, this multi-track conference offered participants the opportunity for education, networking, and support. With one track for parents/young adult survivors, and health care providers and one track for school aged survivors, participants gained knowledge and insight into dealing with the potential physical and emotional issues of survivorship. The school aged survivorship track involved hands on projects with Beads of Courage and Creative Arts in Healing as well as some short discussions related to pertinent survivorship issues.

As with each of the Children’s Cancer Network survivorship conferences, there is only a nominal fee for families to participate and scholarships are available for those who cannot afford to pay.
