"Reach for the Stars!" was the greeting to over 650 guests who attended the 2010 Fashion Show, Auction and Luncheon at the Arizona Biltmore on February 21, 2010.
Futuristic centerpieces and bright stars overhead launched everyone into outer space for a fun filled afternoon. There were celebrities galore! Laura Schwartz of White House Strategies was our superb host. The AZ Ghostbusters were on hand to delight young and old. And the surprise guests were Cardinals player Ben Patrick and mascot Big Red! From photo ops with the attendees to special time with our young models, they were a hit. |

They even took their antics to the runway to live auction Cardinals Kurt Warner and Ben Patrick autographed footballs. Other exciting auction items included unique getaways, elegant jewelry, and life-sized Alvin and the Chipmunks!
By all accounts, the adorable models stole the show. As they proudly walked the runway and shared their inspiring stories, the audience was all smiles. Mini Fashion Shows at Phoenix Children's Hospital and Cardon Children's Medical Center added to the excitement this year. Children in treatment in the pediatric oncology units enthusiastically created their own fashion designs in the morning, then modeled their creations for family and staff in the afternoon.
After seven years, this special event has grown to be much more than a fundraiser. Many look forward to this day as a time to have fun, meet new friends, and celebrate the lives of very special children and their families.
