Over 600 guests enjoyed the “Dream Big” Fashion Show, Auction, and Luncheon hosted by Children’s Cancer Network at the Arizona Biltmore Resort on Sunday, February 12, 2006. Amidst an elegant atmosphere, 43 children, teens, and young adults whose lives have been touched by childhood cancer modeled beautiful fashions by Dillard’s Department Store.

The models were joined by the loving dogs from “Healing Paws”, the animal assisted therapy program at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. A heartfelt standing ovation greeted them all for their finale!

Another highlight was the appearance of Boris Diaw of the Phoenix Suns with an autographed team ball for live auction.

Beautiful jewelry donated by GG Gems of Scottsdale, a relaxing trip to Sedona and an adorable Puggle puppy completed the items for live auction. The silent auction and raffle offered extraordinary items ranging from a Tiffany’s crystal platter, beautiful artwork and jewelry, autographed sports memorabilia and children’s electronics and toys.

Among other things, donations were accepted to begin two new Children’s Cancer Network programs to support the families of Arizona who are dealing with childhood cancer.

The first program is a new lodging program to support the families in financial need who travel to Phoenix for their child’s treatment and must stay at Ronald McDonald House.

The second new program is the fuel card program to assist with the rising costs as these families travel miles for the required medical consultations, treatments and hospitalizations.

Overall, the 3rd annual Children’s Cancer Network Fashion Show, Auction, and Luncheon raised almost $30,000 to support children and families dealing with childhood cancer.
