Who We Are...

Children's Cancer Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance to families dealing with childhood cancer. Established in 2004, under the name of Guardian Angels, Children's Cancer Network provides financial support to these families, promotes patient and family education regarding cancer related issues, and sponsors activities that build the self esteem of childhood cancer patients and their siblings.

Children's Cancer Network is committed to helping children and families dealing with the stressful and uncertain times that begin with initial diagnosis and often continue for years thereafter.

We also strive to increase awareness regarding pediatric cancer research and the need to find a cure for cancer. It is the goal of Children's Cancer Network to provide hope to families dealing with childhood cancer.

North Ranch Elementary School

North Ranch Elementary School in Scottsdale Arizona adopts non-profit community organizations as their special projects. The students then hold fundraising activities during the year and donate the money that they raise to these adopted organizations. North Ranch adopted Children’s Cancer Network during both the 2006-2007 & 2007-2008 school years. Each year the children in this elementary school have presented Children’s Cancer Network with a very generous donation to be used for patient and family services.

In addition to the financial support through fundraising, the school sponsored a table at the 2008 Fashion Show and luncheon. Representatives from the school who attended the event included the principle, teachers and administrative staff as well as students from the student council and their parents. The 500 students in this K-6 school also make greeting cards to coincide with each holiday. These handmade treasures are delivered by Children’s Cancer Network to the children currently undergoing cancer treatment at the local hospitals in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

2008 was the third year that Children’s Cancer Network teamed up with the Great Harvest Bread Company in Tempe, AZ for this springtime project. With a little time and a lot of love, Great Harvest’s signature Honey Whole Wheat dough once again became lovable Honey Bunny Bread Loaves. Proceeds from the sale of these delicious treats are used to purchase gas cards to help families in the Phoenix east valley cover the cost of transportation for chemotherapy, radiation, or other treatments for cancer.
